SHIT FOR BRAINS

Live CD-R

ANIMOSITY

Animosity formed in the late 80's and was really my first band (False Existance being my previous foray in to the punk scene) and also was the start of a long and still current musicial relationship with Dane. I can't remember how we got together or originally met but Animosity was definately the catalist for all my bands since.

The band was made up of Steve on Drums, Dave on Guitar, Dane on Bass and Me on Vocals.

We played a very harsh and fast style of punk thrash and even busted out covers of bands like Septic Death, Damage and the Electro Hippies. Like a lot of the bands I was involved with we were treated with distain and disgust by the seriously inbred Hamilton scene, taken as nothing more than musical terrorists. When Hamilton was still rocking the New Romantics phaze we butchered them with distortion.

Taking our inspiration from the likes of Heresy, Siege, Septic Death and Corrosion Of Conformity we aimed to play fast as fuck stripped down fast punk.

Animosity played shows in both Hamilton and Auckland with the likes of Migraine, Heathen Filth, Anigma and more. We never managed to record anything but did have our show at the Powerstation taped off the desk and this was released on the "Shit For Brains" compilation put out by Adam Delay from Migraine/Defiance. It was later released as a CD-R.

We split up in 1991 and myself and Dane had already formed Gore Story. Dave moved down south and Steve became a Hare Krishna.
